In 2006, the board of directors voted to make three distributions from
the Endowment Fund. Gems of Care, the Starlight Starbright
Children’s Foundation and the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps
each received $ 50,000 as a one-time grant. In 2007, we
announced that we would continue our support to these three worthy
organizations and also add Autism Speaks
and the Santa-America Fund.
After the grants were made, the three organizations began
development of plans that would be based on the local level and
would provide recognition of JFC and the jewelry industry, in local
communities.

programs designed especially for them. The units will also be
branded with the JFC logo and the logos of local sponsoring
organizations.
Association of Hole in the Wall Camps
(Learn More)
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps is the national
organization that supports the network of summer camps for children
with life-threatening illnesses across the United States and in
England, France, Ireland, Israel, and Africa. The camps were started
with support from actor Paul Newman with profits from his food
product lines, as a place for children who have had bad luck with
their health to kick back, relax and just be kids. In 2005, more
than 13,000 children participated in the good, old-fashioned summer
camp experience, free of charge.
The U.S. Camps are located in Connecticut, New York, Florida,
California and North Carolina. Each camp is staffed by a full team
of counselors and medical professional who are integrated into the
“camp” experience so as to be unobtrusive to the young campers and
their families who are experiencing the joy of summer camp and all
that it includes.
The funding from JFC will help support the camp programs in the U.S.
allowing more children with challenging health issues to “take a
break” and enjoy themselves.

families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the
hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds
necessary to support these goals.
Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one
strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to
